The completion of OPASCOR’s Php250-million Bulk Handling Facility strategically installed at the Cebu International Port (CIP) is now stimulating the interest of local grain traders and investors. Big importers are now into initial discussions with OPASCOR regarding the equipment’s capacity to handle bulk cargoes. With this, I am highly optimistic that OPASCOR will gain the needed support of the domestic traders and eventually convert the Cebu Port as a viable shipment point for bulk cargoes.
